Do you want a new life?

I’ve spent a lot of this week reflecting on how much God truly desires to transform us—our character, thought patterns, and habits. Romans 12:1 says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing, and perfect will.”

I was intentional about starting this year with a period of fasting and prayer, and one of the things that stood out the most as God spoke was this: only a transformed mind can walk in the fullness of My Spirit and see My power at work in their lives. So I sat and asked myself, Do I really desire transformation in my life? If yes, what roadblocks have I refused to let go of or call out in my life?

What we need to remember is that transformation doesn’t just happen—intentionality and submission are required. Transformation doesn’t take place without honesty.

Praying a prayer like the scripture in Ezekiel 36:26, which says, “And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”

Now, while this was promised to the Israelites, this is the perfect prayer for a heart that is humble before God, seeking genuine change in heart, mind, and spirit. God is quick to respond to a heart laid out like this before Him.

I want to encourage us to ask God to search our hearts and pray this prayer sincerely. The Bible says those who ask will receive, and those who seek will find. Growth and maturity should be the core desire in this walk with God, and out of that growth, the light of Christ will shine through us.

Praying for you all this week. Stay blessed.
