For Those Who Have Lost and Are Waiting for Hope

It goes without saying that this season can stir up grief — a quiet reminder of what’s been lost or what you’re waiting for. And we know that healing is never a straight path.

To those who mourn & wait, holding onto hope for the promise of brighter days: don’t lose heart. The Lord is working, even in the waiting. The rainbow will come. The sun will shine again.

As I sat in worship, the story of Lazarus is what came to my heart — John 11 gives us hope to cling to.

Though before their eyes, Lazarus was dead before their eyes, the Lord was at work.

Days went by, and he carried the stench of death itself—like a corpse long forgotten.

This may echo the sound of your season of loss and grief—feeling too far gone, with hope dimmed and dreams hard to grasp once more.

Even in the face of His beloved’s doubts, Jesus acted not out of persuasion, but in faithfulness to what had already been purposed.

That which was dead shall rise—mourning shall be turned to dancing, and the glory of the Father shall be revealed.

Jesus responded to Martha saying — “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”

From the heart of one who has known loss and waited in the silence, I urge you—hold fast to your faith. You will see the glory of God.

Be steadfast in faith, holding firm to every promise the Lord has spoken.

Micah 7:7 says “Therefore, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.”

I pray that whether your wounds are old or new, they will be healed and restored by the mighty hand of God.

May His comforting touch reach you in a profound way, bringing peace and renewal.

I believe with all my heart that God has heard the cry of your soul. Do not grow weary, for your testimony is on its way.

With love,

Belema-Ruth
